While scouting a section of public land I found this deer in July. He disappeared once the season opened, but a month into it I finally saw him as he worked a scrape. Two nights later I was fortunate to get a shot him at six yards over the same scrape.

This buck showed up just as a major front was passing through. The wind was howling and it was raining but I was lucky enough to get a good shot off on him as he walked past.

I was fortunate to take this old river-bottom buck off of public land after watching him through the spotting scope for four days. He followed the same pattern on opening night and offered me a 20 yard shot while I sat in a natural ground blind.
