How many of you have tried http://www.ScoutLookWeather.com or the ScoutLook app for your smartphone or iPad? I used ScoutLook frequently last year, and it proved worthy.

Did you know Cy Weichert, a co-founder of ScoutLook, is also a co-founder of Whitetail SLAM? Yeah, Cy is a great guy, but that’s not why I dig ScoutLook. I dig it because it works. It’s just an added bonus that Cy (aka “Grunt Man”) Weichert is the mastermind behind ScoutLook.

I plan on this tool being instrumental to my hunting this coming fall.  Before I had to use other aps to obtain weather and then go to the “war map” posted in my hunting room to see which stand would be appropriate for the wind.  I will double check things with my hard copy map the first few times I use it, but if it proves affective it will save me as much as 15 minutes of sleep every day(or get me in the woods 15 min earlier).  Pretty pumped about being able to mark treestands also.  Sometimes I just forget about stands when so focused on the hot ones.  Great Aplication that I use on the Droid X.

Fishen4bubba, thanks for the great feedback and support of ScoutLook.  We wil be launching a fishing app soon that includes a logbook functionality that you will absolutely love!  Also, we will then build that Log functionality right into the hunting app, and all exisiting users will get it free as an upgraded.  It’s costing a ton to do and we will raise the price of the app to cover it, but we are going to reward all existing users of ScoutLook by giving it free.  These logs will save to your phone, and your web account, just like the app now shakes hands with the website, and you will be able to go online and view, export to excell, or query all your logs to say “how many bucks have i seen on a falling barometer” or “when its raining” or “above 40 degrees”.  etc.  All web log access is free, and the app is only a 1 time fee when you by…no annual fees.

Gruntman.

I don’t have a smart phone but I use ScoutLook on my computer all the time.  I love the scent cone feature!  I have all of my stand locations marked on the map.  I even marked a few lakes I fish for the drift feature.

I used scoutlook to mark two spots where i saw mature bucks last year on public land in iowa,  for two days i continued to check the wind conditions from my motel room and other stand locations that I was hunting throughout the day, the third day i was in a tree where the big bucks were located and took a nice 150….....cant say enough about scoutlookweather,  what a tool

I just purchased the app (the only app I have ever purchased) yesterday. I don’t think I have everything quite figured out yet. It looks to be pretty good, but my map area goes black when I try to zoom in on an area. Does that mean it just needs more time to acquire the images? Any help would be much appreciated!
